Yes, Walton on Thames is a very nice area, it is close to Weybridge and Esher, and has many nice restaurants and Pubs. The town centre has benefited from a new shopping centre (open air) and a new Sainsbury’s supermarket, and there is also a Somerfields too.

Prices for accommodation are high given it’s proximity to London.

I live near Thames Ditton and it’s a very very nice town/village close to the river, and has good links to both town and country. If you are a family it’s ideal. It doesn’t have much in the way of shops and restaurants but Surbiton and Kingston are just down the road for that.

Have you thought about Surbiton? It’s a thriving town these days, v upmarket, lots going on. Pubs and restaurants galore. Pleasing on the eye, safe, leafy, affluent.

Wanna leave London altogether – go to Dorking.

I live in Surrey UK and I’m 13 but I can’t find and creative writing clubs (or even just writing or reading clubs). I tried loads of places around Surrey, but still can’t find anything. Does anyone know any writing clubs?

You could contact Royal Holloway University of London (located in Surrey). They have every club you can imagine there. I don’t know if they take people who don’t go to the university but you could write to the University expressing your desire to write creatively and how you are unable to find any satisfactory places….
